Ioannes 184 was bishop of Athens; owner of a seal dateable to the eighth century: Laurent, Corpus V 1, no. 588 = Schlumberger, Sig., p. 172, no. 2 = Konstantopoulos, JIAN 5, 56. Obv.: + - Θεοτ - όκε βο - ήθει. Rev.: [+]Ἰωάν - νῃ ἐπις - κόπῳ Ἀ - θήνω. He is to be identified with the archbishop of Athens Ioannes whose death on 24 November 713 was recorded on an inscription on one of the columns of the Parthenon: CIG 9352.
