Ioannes 166 was hypatos and archon of the blattion; owner of a seal dateable to the seventh or early eighth century: Ebersolt, "Sceaux byzantins", p. 377, no. 400. Obv.: two busts, either of Heraklios I and his son Heraklios Constantine, or of Justinian II (Ioustinianos 1) and his son Tiberios 4, and the legend [Ἰ]ωάννου ὑπάτ[ου]. Rev.: (καὶ) [ἄρ]χοντο[ς ] τοῦ β[λ]αττ[ίου].
