Ioannes 165 was bishop of Ionopolis (in Paphlagonia); owner of a seal dateable perhaps to the seventh or eighth century: Ebersolt, "Sceaux byzantins", pp. 240-241, no. 390 bis. Obv.: bust of John the Baptist and an invocative formula in the name of the Lord. Rev.: Ἰωάννης ἐπίσκοπος of Ionopolis.
