Ioannes 154 was a monk of the monastery of Stoudios; in April 916, while Anatolios 1 was hegoumenos, he copied out the Life of Niketas of Medikion: Vita Nicetae Medicii, subscription of the Codex Vaticanus graecus 1660, ff. 366-408 (γραφεῖσα διὰ χειρὸς Ἰωάννου ταπεινοῦ καῖ ἐλαχίστου μοναχοῦ, ἐπὶ Ἀνατολίου τοῦ ὁσιωτάτου ἡγουμένου τῶν Στουδίου).
