Ioannes 152 was basilikos spatharios and tourmarches of Crete; owner of a seal dateable to the early or mid ninth century: DOSeals II 36.6 = Zacos and Veglery 2059, cf. Tsougarakis, SBS 2, p. 147, no. 24. Obv.: cruciform monogram of Θεοτόκε βοήθει. Rev.: ..ωαν - ..β' σπα. - .τουρμαρ. - Κριτη'. The text of the reverse reads: Ἰωάννῃ βασιλικῷ σπαθαρίῳ καὶ τουρμάρχῃ Κρήτης.
