Ioannes 145 was basilikos spatharios, monetarios and protonotarios of Sicily; owner of a seal dateable to the ninth century: DOSeals I 5.6 = Zacos and Veglery 2057. Obv.: Θεοτόκε βοήθει τῷ σῷ δούλῳ. Rev.: Ἰωάν[ν]ῃ β(ασιλικῷ) σπαθ(αρίῳ) μονητ(αρίῳ) (καὶ) (πρωτο)νοτ(αρίῳ) Σικ(ελίας). Probably a mint-master; see Nesbitt and Oikonomides, DOSeals I, p. 24, note, and cf. M. F.
