Ioannes 123 was bishop of Timbrias in Pisidia; in 787 he attended the Second Council of Nikaia (the Seventh Ecumenical Council); he is attested only at the seventh session on 13 October 787, where he is styled, in the list of those present, Ἰωάννου ἐπισκόπου Τημβιάδων (sic): Mansi XIII 373 (the Latin version, at XIII 374, reads: "Ioanne episcopo Timbriadensium"). At the seventh session he subscribed the statement of the faith adopted by the Council; he is styled Ἰωάννης ἀνάξιος ἐπίσκοπος Τυμβριάδων: Mansi XIII 396.
