Ioannes 120 was bishop of Nikaia in Thrace; in 787 he attended the Second Council of Nikaia (in Bithynia) (the Seventh Ecumenical Council); he is attested only at the seventh session on 13 October 787, where he is styled Ἰωάννου ἐπισκόπου Νικαίας τῆς Θρᾴκης: Mansi XIII 373. At the seventh session he subscribed the statement of the faith adopted by the Council; he is styled Ἰωάννης ἀνάξιος ἐπίσκοπος Νικαίας τῆς Θρᾴκης: Mansi XIII 388. Perhaps Nikaia is the same as Nike, in Haemimontus, south of Adrianople.
