Ioannes 74 was bishop of Synaos in Phrygia; in 692 he attended the Quinisext Council in Constantinople and signed the canons: Ohme, Bischofsliste, p. 164, no. 179 (= Mansi XI 1001) (Ἰωάννης ἀνάξιος ἐπίσκοπος πόλεως Συνάου).
