Ioannes 35 was bishop of Mindos (Myndos) in Caria; he attended the Third Council of Constantinople (the Sixth Ecumenical Council) in 680 and 681 and was present at all eighteen sessions: Riedinger II 2. 18-828 (= Mansi XI 212-680). In the subscription to the statement of the faith, which condemned monotheletism, he is styled in the Greek text Ἰωάννης ἐλέει Θεοῦ ἐπίσκοπος πόλεως Μύνδου; Riedinger II 2. 794, line 3 (= Mansi XI 652). In the old Latin version his see is called "civitatis Myndi Phrygiae Pacatianae provinciae" in the Mansi edition, Mansi XI 652, but "ciuitatis Myndi" only in the Riedinger edition, Riedinger II 2. 795, line 4. In the subscriptions to the Council he is styled Ἰωάννης ἐλέει Θεοῦ ἐπίσκοπος πόλεως Μύνδου ἐπαρχίας Καρίας; Riedinger II 2. 828, line 4 (= Mansi XI 679), while the Latin version calls his see "civitatis Myndi Cariae provinciae": Mansi XI 680. In the lists of those attending each session he is styled Ἰωάννου ἐπισκόπου Μύνδου: Riedinger II 2. 18, line 14, 30, line 16, etc. (= Mansi XI 212, 220, etc.). In the list of those at the tenth session his name has fallen out from the Greek list but is preserved in the Latin version: Riedinger II 2. 282, line 19 (= Mansi XI 389-390).
