Iakobos 9 was metropolitan bishop of Kyzikos; owner of a seal dateable to the first half of the ninth century: DOSeals III 53.6 = Zacos and Veglery 1994 = Laurent, Corpus V 3, no. 1704. Obv.: cruciform monogram of Θεοτόκε βοήθει with .ω - σω - δου - λω in the corners. Rev.: Ιακω - .ω μητρο - πολητ' Κυ - ζικου. The name and title read: Ἰακώβῳ μητροπολίτῃ Κυζίκου.
