Hyakinthos 1 was bishop of Surrentum in Campania; he was one of the Western bishops who attended the Council of Rome at Easter 680, and who subscribed the decree condemning monotheletism: Riedinger II 2. 144, lines 1-3 (= Mansi XI 301-302) (Ὑάκινθος ἐλάχιστος ἐπίσκοπος τῆς ἁγίας ἐκκλησίας Σύρτης ἐπαρχίας Καμπανίας; the old Latin version printed in Riedinger II 2. 145, line 1, calls him "Yachinthus humilis episcopus sanctae ecclesiae Syrrentinae prouinciae Campaniae").
