Hadrianos 12 was a priest at Rome; Hadrianos 12 and another priest, Ioannes 317, were condemned for criminal conduct and deposed by pope Leo IV (Leo 121); in 855 the bishop elect of Rome, Benedict III (Benediktos 7), was delivered into their custody by Anastasius (Anastasios 25): Lib. Pont. 106. 14 ("Iohanni scilicet Hadrianoque dudum presbiteris, qui a Leone praesule pro illorum criminibus damnati fuerant atque depositi ex omni sacerdotali officio").
