Gregorios 137 was possessed by an evil spirit and he tried to drown himself while sailing past the island of Aphousia where Makarios 9 had recently died, but was saved by his fellow travellers; they landed on Aphousia and, still troubled by the demon, Gregorios 137 went straight to the holy man's tomb and after spending the whole day there was cured and sailed away home: Acta S. Macarii 18, p. 162.
