Gregorios 111 was a patrikios; owner of a seal dateable to the eighth century: Zacos and Veglery 1960 A. Obv.: cruciform monogram of Θεοτόκε βοήθει with τω - δου - λο - σου (sic) in the corners. Rev.: +Γρη - γοριω - πατρι - κιω+. The name and title read: Γρηγορίῳ πατρικίῳ. According to Zacos and Veglery, a similar seal is published in Ebersolt, "Sceaux byzantins", no. 464.
