Gregorios 85 was hypatos and basilikos spatharios; owner of three very similar seals dateable to the eighth century: Zacos and Veglery 1957a and b (the name and titles read: Γρηγορίῳ ὑπάτῳ καὶ βασιλικῷ σπαθαρίῳ), Konstantopoulos, JIAN 9, 523a (the name and titles read: [Γ]ρηγορίῳ ὑπάτῳ καὶ βασιλικῷ σπαθαρίῳ).
