Gregorios 81 was a secundicerius, at Rome; he was one of the heirs of Mastalus (Mastalos 1) but gave up part of his share, a portion of the casales of St Leucius on the via Flaminia, to pope Hadrian I (Hadrianos 1) in return for the title of secundicerius; the property was then incorporated into a domusculta: Lib. Pont. 97. 77 ("portio vero Gregorii secundicerii quae in suprascriptis casalibus sancti Leucii habere dinoscebatur, pro secundicerii honorem eidem almo praesuli ab eodem Gregorio concessa est").
