Gregorios 76 was a priest of Urbinum (in Umbria); present at the Council of Rome in 769 as representative of the bishop of Urbinum, Marinus (Marinos 14): Lib. Pont. 96. 17 ("Gregorius presbiter, locum praestante Marini, episcopi civitate Urbino"). He is named thirty-ninth and last in the list of bishops and clergy from Italy.
