Gregorios 69 was basilikos protospatharios, kaistarchos and archon of the kommerkia of Thessalonike; owner of a seal dateable to the eighth or ninth century: Schlumberger, Sig., pp. 728-9, no. 5 (facsimile) = Konstantopoulos, JIAN 5, 3. Obv.: invocative monogram of Κύριε βοήθει with the legend τω - σω - δου - λω. The title kaistarchos is otherwise unknown as is the office of archon of a kommerkion. The reading and interpretation of the seal are alike uncertain. Cf. DOSeals I 18.51 (p. 70). Winkelmann, Rangstruktur, p. 126, interprets kaistar as κυαίστορ.
