Gregorios 64 was hypatos and protonotarios of Sicily; owner of a seal dateable to the ninth century: Schlumberger, Sig., p. 215, n. 2 from p. 214, no. 8 = CIG IV 9005 (from Salinas, Sigilli diplomatici). The text as given by Schlumberger reads: Θεοτόκε βοήθει (in cruciform monogram) τῷ σῷ δούλῳ Γρηγορ(ίῳ) ὑπά(τῳ) (καὶ) (πρωτο)νοταρί(ῳ) Σικελί(ας). Cf. Winkelmann, Rangstruktur, p. 123.
