Gregorios 13 was oikonomos of the church of Amastris (Γρηγόριον, τὸν οἰκονόμον Ἀμάστρης); in 806 he served on an embassy sent by the emperor Nikephoros I (Nikephoros 8) to make peace with the caliph Harun al-Rashid (Harun 1); the leader of the embassy was Michael 6 and the other envoy was Petros 12: Theoph. AM 6298.
