Gregorios 12's name ends in "...rios" and may be restored as either Gregorios or Demetrios. Gregorios 12 was patrikios, basilikos protospatharios and strategos of Salonike (Thessalonike); owner of a seal dateable to the ninth or early tenth century: DOSeals I 18.66 (IX) = Zacos and Veglery 1964 (L IX/E X). Obv.: Κύριε or Θεοτόκε βοήθει [τ]ῷ [σ]ῷ δούλῳ. Rev.: [Γρηγο] or {Δημητ]ρηο πατρικ(ίῳ), β(ασιλικῷ) (πρωτο)σπαθ(αρίῳ) (καὶ) στρατη[γ]ο τῆς Σαλονήκης.
