Gregorios 5 was the father of Basilios (Tiberios 3): Nic. Brev. de Boor 54, Mango 55 (Βασίλειον τοὔνομα, ὑιὸν γεγονότα Γρηγορίου τὸ ἐπίκλην Ὀνομαγούλου), Theoph. AM 6210 (Βασίλειον, Κωνσταντινουπολίτην, υἱὸν Γρηγορίου τοῦ Ὀνομαγούλου). His son is described as Constantinopolitan, which suggests that the family home was there. The name Onomagoulos is applied to both father and son and may therefore have been the family name.
