Gregoras 1 was basilikos spatharios and archon of Cherson; owner of a seal dateable to the early or mid ninth century): DOSeals I 82.2 = Zacos and Veglery 3113 (and cf. Sokolova, "Pechati arhontov Khersona", p. 83, no. 3 and Sokolova, Monety, no. 5a). Obv.: Θεοτόκε βοήθει τῷ σῷ δούλ[ῳ]. Rev.: Γρηγορᾷ β(ασιλικῷ) σπαθ[(α)ρ(ίῳ)] (καὶ) ἄρχ(οντι) Χερσόνος. Another specimen, from a different boulloterion, is published by Sokolova, "Pechati arhontov Khersona", pp. 82-83 and Sokolova, Monety, no. 5 (possibly identical with Likhachev, Molivdovuly LIX 13 (M-7989)).
