Goumer 1 succeeded Symbatios 1 as logothetes of the dromos in 866 soon after Basilios 7 (Basil I) was crowned co-emperor (26 May) (ἀντ' αὐτοῦ δὲ προεβλήθη λογοθέτης τοῦ δρόμου ὁ Γοῦμερ, or similar): Leo Gramm. 247, Georg.
