Georgios 283 was archbishop of Debelton in 813 when he was taken prisoner by the Bulgars at the capture of the city; later he was among those put to death by the Bulgar ruler Omurtag 1: Synax. Eccl. Const. 414, 27; 416, 2-4; Menol. Bas. 276D.
