Georgios 248 is included among the confessors and archbishops acclaimed for their support of icons in the Synodikon of Orthodoxy: Gouillard, "Synodikon", p. 53, line 125. His see is unknown; he may be identical with Georgios 134 (bishop of Mitylene) or possibly with Georgios 135 (archbishop of Ephesos).
