Georgios 236 was a skribon and genikos kommerkiarios of the apotheke of Asia, Chios and Lesbos; owner of a seal dateable to the fourth indiction under an emperor who is identifiable as Justinian II (Ioustinianos 1); the date was therefore 690/691: DOSeals II 51.3 = Zacos and Veglery 168. Obv.: an emperor (Justinian II, Ioustinianos 1), standing, with indiction date four (δ) and a circular inscription: Γεωργιωσκριβων.. Rev.: και γεν. - κουκ... - ερκιαριου α - ποθηκης - Ασιας Χιου - και Λεσβου. The name and titles read: Γεωργίῳ σκρίβωνι καὶ γενικοῦ κομμερκιαρίου ἀποθήκης Ἀσίας Χίου καὶ Λέσβου (sic).
