Georgios 227 was a xenodochos and the addressee of a letter from Theodore the Stoudite (Theodoros 15), written between 815 and 818, thanking him for giving shelter to Stoudite monks during the iconoclast persecution under Leo V (Leo 15): Theod. Stud., Ep. 102 (addressed Γεωργίῳ ξενοδόχῳ).
