Georgios 217 was protonotarios of Peloponnesos; owner of a seal dateable to the second half of the ninth century: DOSeals II 22.18 = Zacos and Veglery 1929a. Obv.: cruciform monogram of Θεοτόκε βοήθει with τω - σω - δου - λω in the corners. Rev.: +Γεωρ - γιω πρω. - .ν' Πελοπ - ..'. He is identified by Zacos and Veglery with Georgios, protonotarios of Peloponnesos, owner of a second seal, similar but not identical to the first, and of similar date, an identification which is doubted by the editors of DOSeals: DOSeals II 22.19 = Zacos and Veglery 1929b. Obv.: two eight-rayed stars and a crudely inscribed cruciform monogram of Θεοτόκε βοήθει, with τω - σω - .. - λω in the corners. Rev.: +Γε - ωργιω α - νοταρ' Π - ελοπ. The name and title on both seals read: Γεωργίῳ πρωτονοταρίῳ Πελοποννήσου.
