Georgios 78 was basilikos kandidatos and dioiketes of Raidestos; owner of seals dateable to the ninth century: DOSeals I 59.3 = Zacos and Veglery 1915. Another specimen, perhaps from the same boulloterion, is Laurent, Orghidan, 260. Obv.: cruciform monogram of Θεοτόκε βοήθει, with τω - σω - δου - λω in the corners. Rev.: Γεωρ - γιο β' κανδ' - (και) διοικητ' Ρ - εδεστου. The name and titles read: Γεωργίῳ βασιλικῷ κανδιδάτῳ καὶ διοικητῇ Ρεδεστοῦ. On Raidestos (Rhaidestos), cf. ODB III, p. 1787.
