Georgios 32 was bishop of the island of Thera; in 681 he attended the final session of the Third Council of Constantinople (the Sixth Ecumenical Council) (on September 16): Riedinger, pp. 764-828 (= Mansi XI 629-680). In the list of those present at the session he is styled Γεωργίου ἐπισκόπου Θήρας: Riedinger, p. 764, line 5 (= Mansi XI 629). In the subscriptions to the statement of the faith, which condemned monotheletism, he is styled Γεώργιος ἐλάχιστος ἐπίσκοπος νήσου Θήρας: Riedinger, p. 794, line 18 (= Mansi XI 653). In the signatures to the Council he is styled Γεώργιος ἐλέει Θεοῦ ἐπίσκοπος πόλεως Θήρας τῆς νήσου: Riedinger, p. 828, line 26 (= Mansi XI 680). The old Latin version printed in Riedinger, p. 795, line 20, calls his see "insulae Thirae". He was still bishop of the island of Thera in 692, when he attended the Quinisext Council and signed the canons: Ohme, Bischofsliste, p. 169, no. 223 (not in Mansi XI 1005) (Γεώργιος ἀνάξιος ἐπίσκοπος τῆς Θήρας νήσου).
