Georgios 27 was bishop of Kamacha, also known as the klima of Daranalis, in Armenia Magna; in 681 he attended the Third Council of Constantinople (the Sixth Ecumenical Council) and was present at two of the last three sessions (the sixteenth and the eighteenth, on 9 August and 16 September): Riedinger, pp. 688-786 (= Mansi XI 613-646). In the subscriptions to the statement of the faith, which condemned monotheletism, he is styled Γεώργιος ἐλέει Θεοῦ ἐπίσκοπος τοῦ κλίματος Δαρανάλεως τῆς μεγάλης Ἀρμενίας: Riedinger, p. 786, line 24 (= Mansi XI 645). In the old Latin version printed in Riedinger, p. 787, line 25 (= Mansi XI 646), he is called "episcopus territorii Daranalis magnae Armeniorum regionis". He is not named in the list of signatures to the Council; cf. Riedinger, pp. 822-829 (= Mansi XI 668-681). In the list of those attending each session he is styled Γεωργίου ἐπισκόπου Δαρανάλεως ἤτοι τοῦ Καμάχων: Riedinger, p. 688, line 10, p. 758, line 19 (= Mansi XI 613, 628). The old Latin version printed in Riedinger, p. 689, line 10 (= Mansi XI 614), calls him "episcopo Daranaliensis siue Chamachorum", that in Riedinger, p. 759, line 19 (= Mansi XI 627) "episcopo Daranaleos siue Camachorum". On the see, cf. Jones, Cities, pp. 224-225.

He was still bishop of Kamacha in 692, when he attended the Quinisext Council in Constantinople and signed the canons: Ohme, Bischofsliste, p. 153, no. 69 (= Mansi XI 993) (Γεώργιος ἐλάχιστος ἐπίσκοπος Καμάχης τῆς Μεγάλης τῶν Ἀρμενίων χώρας).
