Gennadios 2 was kandidatos and chartoularios; owner of a seal dateable to the late seventh century or the early eighth: Zacos and Veglery 2985. Obv.: busts of the Virgin and Child, with cruciform monograms of Θεοτόκε and βοήθει. Rev.: cruciform monogram (no. 516A in the list in Zacos and Veglery, Seals, part iii ad fin.), certainly containing the letters Α, Δ, Ε, Ι, Κ, Ν, Ο, Ρ, Τ, Υ, Χ, Ω, and possibly Γ, Λ, Μ, and Σ, interpreted by Zacos and Veglery, with some hesitation, to read: Γενναδιω κανδιδατω και χαρτουλαριω. The name and titles read: Γενναδίῳ κανδιδάτῳ καὶ χαρτουλαρίῳ.
