Gemmoulos 1 was a deacon (at Rome); he was in the retinue of pope Stephen III (II) (Stephanos 8) which set out from Ticinum (Pavia) for Francia on 15 November 753; he had presumably accompanied the pope when he left Rome on 14 October: Lib. Pont. 94. 23 ("Pardum et Gemmulum diaconos").
