Geminianos 1 was bishop of Volaterrae; he attended all five sessions of the Lateran Council, from 5 October to 31 October, 649, and in the list of bishops present is named in twenty-seventh place: Conc. Lat., p. 2, line 35 (Γεμινιανοῦ ἐπισκόπου Βολουτέρρης), p. 3, line 35 ("Geminiano Boluterrano episcopo") (the first session), cf. pp. 31, 111, 177 and 247 (the Latin version only is repeated for the other sessions). He subscribed the definition of the faith agreed by the Council at its fifth session: Conc. Lat., p. 392, line 41 (Γεμηνιανὸς ἐπίσκοπος Βολουτέρνης), p. 393, line 41 ("Geminianus episcopus sanctae Boluterrane ecclesiae").
