Exouperios 1 was notarios regionarius of the see of Rome; he was one of the officials present at the Lateran Council in October 649, where his function was to read out documents requested by the Council; the Greek texts style him Ἐξουπέριος νοτάριος ῥεγεωνάριος τῆς ἀποστολικῆς καθέδρας or τοῦ ἀποστολικοῦ θρόνου and the Latin texts "Exsuperius notarius regionarius apostolicae sedis": Conc. Lat., p. 60, line 23 with p. 61, line 23 (at the second session), p. 80, line 5 with p. 81, line 5, p. 144, line 32 with p. 145, line 32 (at the third session), p. 170, line 34 with p. 171, line 32, p. 256, line 31 with p. 257, line 31 (at the fifth session). He is expressly said to have read out certain originally Greek texts in Latin translation: Conc. Lat., pp. 60-61, 144-145, 170-171.
