Euthymios 18 was a monk who deserted the cause of the patriarch Photius (Photios 1); he was the addressee of a letter from Photius regretting his action and urging him to return: Photius, Ep. 69 (I 113 laourdas-Westerink) (addressed Εὐθυμίῳ μονάζοντι παραπεσόντι). The date of the letter is unclear.
