Euthymios 17 was a Stoudite monk; addressee of a letter from Theodoros 15 (Theodore the Stoudite), written in 815/816; at the time he was in flight from the iconoclasts, travelling from place to place (περιάγεις ἐκ τόπου εἰς τόπον: p. 335, line 3); he is addressed as τέκνον̀ν μου ἠγαπημένον (p. 335, line 2): Theod. Stud., Ep. 213, pp. 335-336 (addressed Εὐθυμίῳ τέκνῳ).
