Eustratios 5 was a holy man, living with Theodoros 124 and Georgios 95 near the monastery of Mantineion in the Boukellarioi theme; they took the monk Paulos 25 from the monastery into their service but allowed him to leave after a few years and encouraged him to become a contemplative himself: Vita Petr. Atr. 5. According to Vita Petr. Atr. Retractata 8 (p. 84) they released him so that others also could benefit from his virtues.
