Eustathios 21 was a patrikios, basilikos protospatharios and strategos; owner of a seal dateable to the iconoclast period (VIII/M IX): Ebersolt, "Sceaux byzantins", p. 404, no. 541. Obv.: cruciform monogram in the name of the Virgin. Rev.: Εὐστάθιος πατρίκιος, βασιλικὸς πρωτοσπαθάριος, στρατηγός. The same individual probably owned two other, similar, seals, dateable to the second half of the eighth century: Zacos and Veglery 1897a and b. The name and titles read: Εὐσταθίῳ πατρικίῳ, βασιλικῷ πρωτοσπαθαρίῳ καὶ στρατηγῷ.
