Eugenios 9 was a basilikos kandidatos and dioiketes; owner of a seal dateable to the second half of the ninth century: Zacos II 141. Obv.: patriarchal cross on base and two steps; circular inscription of +Κ(ύρι)ε βοήθη τῷ σῷ δούλῳ. Rev.: +Ευγε - νιω β' καν - διδατω (καὶ) - δηυκητ - η αμην. The text reads: Εὐγενίῳ βασιλικῷ κανδιδάτῳ καὶ διοικητῇ ἀμήν.
