Eugenios 2 was hypatos and komes of the korte of Thessalonike; owner of a seal dateable to the eighth or ninth century ("clearly earlier than the second quarter of the ninth century"): DOSeals I 18.27. Obv.: Κύριε or Θεοτόκε βοήθει [τῷ σῷ] δού[λ]ῳ. Rev.: [Εὐγ]εν(ίῳ) ὑπ(άτῳ) (καὶ) κό(μητι) τ(ῆς) κόρτ(ης) [Θ]εσαλονήκ(ης). On the date and titles, see Nesbitt and Oikonomides, DOSeals I, p. 62, note.
