Eucharistos 1 was a Stoudite monk; addressee of two letters from Theodoros 15 (Theodore the Stoudite) written between 816 and 818: Theod. Stud., Epp. 196, p. 319 (L 816/E 817); 336, pp. 477-478 (spring 818) (both addressed Εὐχαρίστῳ τέκνῳ). In spring 818 he was living with the archbishop Ioseph 3 (διακονῶν τῷ ἁγίῳ ἀρχιεπισκόπῳ: p. 477, lines 4-5), and is praised by Theodoros for sharing the dangers and hardships of Ioseph's travels: Theod. Stud., Ep. 336, pp. 477-478.
