Epiphanios 49 was bishop of Albanum; he attended all five sessions of the Lateran Council, from 5 October to 31 October 649, and in the list of bishops present is named in seventh place: Conc. Lat., p. 2, line 15 (Ἐπιφανίου ἐπισκόπου Ἀλβανοῦ), p. 3, line 15 ("Epiphanio Albanense episcopo") (the first session), cf. pp. 31, 111, 177 and 247 (the Latin version only is repeated for the other sessions). He subscribed the definition of the faith agreed by the Council at its fifth session: Conc. Lat., p. 392, line 1 (Ἐπιφάνιος ἐπίσκοπος Ἀλβανοῦ), p. 393, line 1 ("Epiphanius episcopus sanctae Albanensis ecclesiae").
