Epiphanios 20 was patrikios and strategos; owner of a number of seals dateable to the eighth century: Schlumberger, Sig., p. 364, no. 3 (VIII; facsimile; obv.: invocative monogram of Θεοτόκε βοήθει with the legend τω - σω - δου - λω; rev.: +Επι - φανιω - πατρικιω - (καὶ) στρατι - γω+), Zacos and Veglery 323 (VIII; three seals similar to one another; obv.: circular inscription reading +ἐξέλου μὲ κὲ ἐξ ἀνθρόπου πονηροῦ, round a cruciform monogram of Ἐπιφανίου; rev.: circular inscription reading [+]ἀπὸ ἀνδρὸς ἀδίκου [(καὶ) δ]ολίου ῥῦσαι μέ, round a cruciform monogram of πατρικίου, with (καὶ) στ - ρα - τη - γου in the corners), Zacos and Veglery 2990 (E/M VIII; obv.: cross crosslet with Χ at the intersection, and Ιυ' - Χε' - [Νι] - κας in the corners; rev.: Επιφα - νιω πατ[ρ] - ικιω (καὶ) σ[τρ] - ατηγ[ω]), Zacos and Veglery 3103 (VIII; obv.: cruciform monogram of Χριστὲ βοήθει, with Επι - φα - νι - ω in the corners; rev.: cruciform monogram of πατρικίῳ, with (καὶ) στ - ρα - τη - γω in the corners).
