Elias 21 was basilikos spatharios; owner of a seal dateable to the first half of the eighth century: Zacos and Veglery 1867. Obv.: cruciform monogram of Θεοτόκε βοήθει, with Η - λι - α in three corners and a cross in the fourth. Rev.: Βασι - λικω - σπαθα - ριω. The name and titles read: Ηλίᾳ βασιλικῷ σπαθαρίῳ.
