Eirenokalos 1 was basilikos kommerkiarios of Hellas, Peloponnesos and Kephallenia; owner of a seal dateable to the ninth century: DOSeals II 1.5 = Zacos and Veglery 1865. Obv.: cruciform monogram of Θεοτόκε βοήθει with τω - σω - δου - λω in the corners. Rev.: +Ειρινο - καλ' β' κουμε - ρκ' Ελαδ' Πελ - λοπ' και Κεφ'. The text of the reverse reads: Εἰρινοκάλῳ βασιλικῷ κουμερκιαρίῳ Ἑλάδος, Πελλοποννήσου και Κεφαλληνίας.
