Dounos 1 was an hypatos; owner of a seal dateable to the first half of the eighth century: Zacos and Veglery 1859. Obv.: cruciform monogram of Θεοτόκε βοήθει, with τω - σω - δου - λω in the corners. Rev.: Δουνω - υπατω. The name and title read: Δούνῳ ὑπάτῳ.
