Domitios 13 was endoxotatos, apo eparchon and xenodochos; he is named in an inscription of the late seventh or early eighth century on the Gate of Kalagros in the Theodosian Walls of Constantinople: A. M. Schneider, "Die Pyle tou Kalagrou der Landmauer von Konstantinopel", in BZ 38 (1938), p. 408. The inscription contains three cruciform monograms reading: Θεοτόκε βοήθει - Ἰουστινιανοῦ - δεσπότου, and the legend: ἐπὶ Δομετίου ἐνδοξοτάτου ἀπὸ ἐπάρχων καὶ ξενοδόχου. The monogram of the emperor's name was deliberately damaged, and Schneider identified him therefore with Justinian II (Ioustinianos 1). The date is therefore either 685/695 or 705/711.
